We seek to support, amplify, and empower artists through financial and other resources so that they may pursue WHAT IS VITAL to them. See below for a few of the artists we've supported.
Diana is a performer, singer, songwriter, music maker, actor, creator of performance, installation, concert, ritual, and party, and an open channel to the art that feels good to their body. Passionate about decolonizing & queering processes, Oh is driven most by pleasure, mutual care, and keeping things heart-centered. Oh is a Refinery29 Top LGBTQ Influencer and the First Queer Korean-American interviewed on Korean Broadcast Radio.
Nia is a multidisciplinary artist and muralist who aspires to create a zine focused on highlighting BIPOC creatives in Portland and beyond. She recently released a series of educational illustrations for kids and families to learn more about artists around the world and wants to scale this work to support even more artists in her community.
Jeremy McQueen is the creator of Black Iris Project. Since its inception in 2016, BIP has been committed to telling Black narratives through ballet and to using art as a mirror to reflect the times and consistently intertwine themes of social justice in everything we do.
Sage Crosby is a 19 year old creator of music. In 2020 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and has turned her energy to creating music that reflects who she is and what she’s going through.
Your donations will help us support more artists, and further the What is Vital Project. We are a purely volunteer organization which depends entirely on the generous support of our community.
